What is fat freeze?

Fat freeze, also called cryolipolysis, uses controlled cooling to target fat cells under the skin. The cooled fat cells break down and are cleared by the body naturally over the following weeks.

It's designed for stubborn areas that don't respond to diet and exercise, such as the stomach, love handles, thighs, upper arms and under the chin. It isn't a weight-loss treatment, but it can noticeably reshape an area.

What to expect

Aftercare

• Redness, numbness, tingling or mild bruising are normal and settle over days to a few weeks
• Gently massage the area for a few minutes daily for the first week

• Avoid very hot baths or saunas for 24 hours
