What is IPL treatment for redness and veins?

IPL light is absorbed by the red pigment in small blood vessels. The vessels are gently heated and gradually fade, reducing visible redness, flushing and thread veins.

It can help the redness associated with rosacea, as well as spider veins on the face and cherry angiomas, the small red spots that often appear with age. Most people need a short course of treatments.

1. A consultation and patch test

Aftercare

• Mild redness or swelling may last 1 to 2 days; a cool compress can help
• Avoid alcohol, spicy food, hot drinks and heat for 48 hours, as they can trigger flushing
• Wear SPF 50 every day
• Use gentle, fragrance-free skincare
