What is anti-wrinkle treatment?

Anti-wrinkle treatment relaxes the small muscles that cause expression lines, such as forehead lines, frown lines between the brows and crow's feet. The skin above smooths out, so you look fresher and less tired, while still looking like you.

The treatment uses a prescription-only medicine, so it is only ever given after a face-to-face consultation, where we assess your face, discuss your medical history and agree a plan together. We aim for softened lines, not a frozen look.

What to expect

1. A face-to-face consultation to assess suitability and agree a treatment plan
2. Tiny injections into the chosen muscles, which takes around 15 minutes
3. You can go back to normal activities straight away, avoiding exercise, heat and lying down for a few hours
4. Results start to show in 3 to 5 days and develop fully over about 2 weeks
5. A review at 2 weeks lets us fine-tune if needed

Aftercare

• Stay upright for 4 hours and don't lie down or bend over
• Don't touch, rub or massage the treated areas for the rest of the day
• Avoid exercise, saunas, steam rooms and alcohol for 24 hours
• Avoid facials and other facial treatments for 2 weeks
• Results appear over 3 to 14 days; come back for your review at 2 weeks
