IPL hair removal in Southport
Long-lasting hair reduction for the face and body, for women and men, with clear prices for every area.
What is IPL hair removal?
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal uses pulses of light that are absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The light turns to heat in the follicle, damaging it so hair grows back finer and slower, until most of it stops growing.
Because hair grows in cycles, you'll need a course of sessions to treat every follicle. Most people see a big reduction after 6 to 8 treatments, with occasional top-ups after that.

Questions
IPL hair removal FAQs
Does IPL hair removal hurt?
Most people describe it as a warm snap, like a rubber band. It's quick and very manageable.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually 6 to 8, every 4 to 6 weeks, because hair grows in cycles.
Does it work on blonde, grey or red hair?
IPL works best on darker hair. Very light, grey, white or red hair has too little pigment to respond well. We'll advise at your patch test.
Can I tan before treatment?
Avoid sun beds, fake tan and strong sun on the area for at least 2 weeks before and after each session.
Do I need to shave first?
Yes, shave the area 24 hours before. Don't wax, pluck or thread between sessions.
