Lip filler in Southport
Soft shape, hydration and subtle volume, tailored to your face so your lips still look like yours.
What is lip filler?
Lip filler uses a hyaluronic acid gel, a substance your body already makes, to add shape, definition and hydration to the lips. We can correct uneven lips, define the border, lift the corners or add gentle volume.
Our approach is natural first. We build gradually, keep your lips in proportion with the rest of your face and never overfill. Because hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved, the result is adjustable.
Who it suits
- You'd like more definition or a little more volume
- Your lips are uneven or have lost volume with age
- You want hydrated, smoother-looking lips
- You're over 18 and in good general health
What to expect
- A consultation to talk through the look you'd like and check the treatment is right for you
- Numbing cream is applied, and most fillers also contain local anaesthetic for comfort
- The filler is placed carefully with a fine needle or cannula, usually in 30 to 45 minutes
- You'll see results straight away; swelling usually settles within 2 to 5 days
- We'll give you aftercare advice and can see you for a review if needed
Aftercare
- Avoid touching, pressing or massaging your lips for 24 hours unless we advise otherwise
- Avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, saunas and very hot drinks for 24 to 48 hours
- Swelling is normal and often worse the next morning; a cold compress can help
- Avoid makeup on the lips for 24 hours
- Contact us straight away if you notice severe pain, colour change or blanching of the skin

Questions
Lip filler FAQs
Does lip filler hurt?
Most people find it very manageable. We use numbing cream, and most fillers contain local anaesthetic, so you'll feel pressure more than pain.
Will my lips look natural?
That's our priority. We plan the shape around your face and add volume gradually, so your lips look fresher, not overdone.
How long does lip filler last?
Usually 9 to 18 months, depending on the product, your metabolism and lifestyle.
Can lip filler be reversed?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved if needed. We offer lip dissolve and refill if you'd like to correct previous filler.
How should I prepare?
Avoid alcohol and, where safe to do so, blood-thinning painkillers for 24 hours beforehand to reduce bruising. Let us know about any cold sores, as they can affect timing.
