What is lip blushing?

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent makeup treatment that adds a soft tint of colour to the lips and defines the lip border. It can even out uneven or pale lip colour and give the look of a fuller lip without filler.

What to expect

1. A consultation and patch test, and colour matching
2. Numbing cream is applied
3. Pigment is added gradually with a fine needle
4. Lips look brighter and slightly swollen at first
5. A top-up at 4 to 6 weeks perfects the colour

Aftercare

• Lips may be swollen for 1 to 2 days and the colour will look bright at first
• Apply the aftercare balm regularly and keep lips moisturised
• Avoid hot drinks, spicy food and kissing for a few days
• Don't pick any flaking skin
• If you get cold sores, speak to a pharmacist or GP about antiviral treatment before your appointment
